Chapter 1 Walkthrough

New Characters
Name Class Comment:
Roy Lord The lord of the game, you have to use him so you might as well train him, gets the powerful Sword of Seals later on and is generally good for this game.
Marcus Paladin A prepromote Paladin. The old guy's still going at it, worse than he was in FE7, although he's still useable as somebody to bait or weaken enemies and rescue, don't use him too much though.
Lance Cavalier The 'Green' Cavalier, he's quick, I prefer him over Alan but it's your decision, if you want speedy and skillful over strong and durable' (Just an estimate, you should pick your own after some levelups if you can't decide)
Alan Cavalier The 'Red' Cavalier, he's strong. Otherwise he's pretty much like Lance'
Wolt Archer I like him, pretty bad at first but he's quite a good sniper later on. He starts as a pretty weak archer though. He can't counterattack a lot due to bows, but he's still good.
Bors Knight Very unusable early on due to the axes, (Lances are weak against Axes, like Axes are weak against swords and Swords are weaker than lances) but later on if he's still there he'll become a very good tank. Good armor knight hindered by circumstances maybe?

This is the first chapter, and unlike in the prequel of the game there is no tutorial, still it's difficult to lose this chapter unless your RNG hates you, first take care of the immediate threats, the bandits around you, don't use Marcus and Bors yet, as Bors is slow and his lance is at a disadvantage to the axes, use Wolt from afar, and Alan and Lance's Iron Swords up close, Roy is also good here, just don't use up his rapier too much. If you want you should trade him an Iron Sword from Marcus.

After you've cleared the initial enemies, your screen should look something like this:

If there are enemies with low health you can give them to Bors or Wolt to finish off since it's difficult for them to get kills other wise.

Move up after checking on health, there are vulneraries in different characters inventories. You can either go slow at the enemies at the upper part of the map as a group or use the cavaliers greater movement to ride up there. Lance is quite a bit more dangerous because he can double attack already, while Alan can't just yet. If you're having difficulty, or the RNG is being unkind the forests lower the already bad hit rates of the bandits.

As for the boss, beat him with Roy. It's okay to use the Rapier on him, but if he's at low health during your turn, use the Iron Sword to finish him off. Then move Roy to the space the boss was on and click seize or conquer. You have just beaten the first chapter!

Don't get cocky though, there's a long way to go!

Chapter 2 Walkthrough

New Characters
Name Class Comment:
Ellen Cleric She's your first healer and she's decent, although for a healer she's really downsized by awful base Magic. Still, she's useful till you get somebody else.
Merlinus Transporter he stores your items, still he can't attack, and gets only one measly exp per hit dodged or taken, he can store your items outside of battle, so there's no reason to bring him in.
Dieck Mercenary Your first Mercenary and a good one, use him.
Lott Fighter An axe fighter, so is Ward, they're both good in different stats, as with Lance and Alan, pick after a few level ups if you're going to use them at all. Lott is much better defensively than Ward, with the highest Defense growth other than an armor knight, he also has decent speed.
Ward Fighter Another axe fighter, he has great Strength and Skill, which is good for the inaccurate axes. If you want raw power go for Ward. Both axe fighters have good con, so they can use the heavy axes without too much of a speed loss.
Thany Pegasus Knight A Pegasus Knight with huge movement able to overcome obstacles, just keep her away from archers, if you use her you will most likely go the Ilia route later in the game (more on that later).

The Soldiers (those enemies with just lances) are really weak, you can use them for easy kills for maybe Wolt or Bors. The Fighters (axe units) are going to be dealt with swords while the mercenaries (sword units) are probably your most dangerous foes, still there's only one of them and he's not too bad.

Just take care of the enemies near your starting position, you don't have to move Dieck's group back to the main one yet, their plenty good enough to hold their own. Use Dieck's Iron Sword instead of his Iron Blade so you can save it for later. Ward comes with a hammer that can be useful against Armor Knights (like the boss of the chapter). Lott comes with a Hand Axe which (like Lance's Javelin) is a ranged and close-up weapon. You can attack with these from a space away, you can also use them from close-up, unlike Wolt's bows which are distance only. Make sure these two archers (circled), don't get after Thany, because she'll fall in a single hit to them.

Make sure Ellen is out of harm's way, she can't take many blows. The forests are good for protection for both groups.

If someone gets in trouble, and Ellen isn't around rescue them with Marcus, after trading his weapons away. That way they'll be safe until you drop them near Ellen for healing.
As for the boss, use Roy's Rapier (increased might and critical chance against Armors and Cavalry) or Ward's Hammer (increased might against Armored Knights) to easily finish him.

Then move Roy to the bosses space and Seize the throne to beat this chapter.

Chapter 3 Walkthrough

New Characters
Name Class Comment:
Chad Thief A thief, he would be one of the best characters in the game'if he could promote. His growths are great, he has lots of utility functions'.but because he can't promote he might be a liability as a fighter in the later chapters. He's a great dodging machine for axe users.
Lugh Mage A mage, he's your first magic use and is really useful early on, when your characters aren't strong enough to go physically with Armor Knights or Dragon Riders. However, later you get an abundance of magic users so Lugh might lose his spot among the crowd, he's not overly spectacular but he's not bad either.

There's a village in the upper left corner of the map, if you enter it you get Lugh, your first magic user, he's great for Armored Knights right now, and generally in this game enemies have poor Magic Resistance, and he can attack both up close and at range.

So split your party into two groups, one, with Roy and Chad in it, goes inside the castle to open all those doors, to get the treasure and see the boss. The other, smaller group goes up to take care of the enemies guarding the village, you shouldn't need more than two units, send your axe users (Ward and Lott). But first the castle group should take care of the village to your right.

There are archers, and quite a bit of enemies so be careful with Thany and Ellen. Although there are a lot of enemies, you can rotate your units to get healed while you send two or three at a time to take the enemies if you're in trouble.

This village gives you a Mend, a more powerful staff than the Heal Ellen has.

The armor Knights might be a problem, but you have a Rapier, a Hammer and Lugh, so you can get past them if you think a little. Alan with his power can also help a little.

Once you fight your way close to the boss. The treasure room is just below.

Take Chad (of course), and somebody else with some power, I recommend Alan, you might have to give him a Javelin from Thaty or somebody.

Here's the treasure room

Use whoever on the Knights guarding it, Bors can stonewall while you have somebody pound at the knights with a hand axe or a Javelin. Lugh as well, if you got him down there already. Dieck can also do both Bors and Alan's job for this. So you can just send him if you want. Alan is extremely useful as well, dealing out large chunks of damage with the speed to double.

Simultaneously, Roy and the rest should move into the throne room and Roy should finish the boss of with his Rapier (if it has any uses) if not, let Ward/Lott with the hammer do it, or Lugh from afar.

If nobody was held up or you did it quickly, Roy should finish off the boss just as Chad finishes with the chests. Only after all the chests are open should Roy seize the throne. The chests give you 3000Gold and a Halberd, an axe used against Cavalry.

Chapter 4 Walkthrough

New Characters
Name Class Comment:
Clarine Troubadour she's another healer, I think she's better than Ellen because she has a better base Magic and more move, but that's just me. She'll talk to Roy
Rutger Myrmidon he's great as Swordmasters are very valuable in this game. Get him to join by talking to him with Clarine.

Now this chapter is basically the same as it's counterpart in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword. Just watch out for the cavaliers, there are plenty of them, and they can use Lances and Swords, so check their inventory and their movement because when you least expect it they can charge behind your front lines and take out your healers. Don't worry about the Nomads (bowmen on a horse) too much, they have such low con and strength that they're free kills.

There are three villages in this map and you should save them all, send Marcus to the one right behind you. And split up your party, one with Roy should go up top and to the throne, the other should go down to take care of the Pirates approaching from the ocean and to save the southern village.

Down South are also shops, here:

The one on the left is an armory, selling swords, axes etc. The one on the right is a Vendor, selling healing items, Staves and tomes (for magic like what Lugh uses).

Remember the Nomads have bows, so keep Thany away.

When Clarine comes out, she'll be a green unit, she'll head for Roy, and talk to him, you need her to talk to Rutger so he'll join also. Pirate reinforcements will arrive and head for the village to destroy it, you have to get there first, send one of your healers if you need it, Chad is also very good against the pirates, and if you're having trouble with the hordes of cavaliers, use distance weapons and powerful attackers, only use weaklings like Chad to finish off because he can only do 1 or 2 damage. The Steel Blade you get from the top village should be given to Dieck.

Rutger will appear soon after Clarine, and you don't want to waste time with him and his group. He has a Killing Edge and that increases critical rate by a substantial amount, so bait him with Marcus, after trading away Marcus' Silver Lance to somebody or Merlinus. He appears right beside the castle as well, so he can be a bit of a shock, I advise you to retreat a little so he doesn't kill you before you have a chance.

There'll be some reinforcements coming, so make sure you've restocked on weapons and items at the shops (I recommend Javelins, Hand Axes and Staves, along with anything else you need) and saved all the villages before you beat the boss with Roy's Rapier or an axe user with magic from the distance and seize the throne.

Chapter 5 Walkthrough

There are no new characters in this chapter.

Now here you have to go around, so what you do is take on the first wave of enemies from the forts (which boost your avoid and also heal you) while somebody sneaks past the enemies to save the village. I would use a Cavalier or Thany, if the Nomads haven't come close yet. You should have bought Rutger an Iron Sword from the last chapter, but it's okay if you didn't, give him somebody's like Diecks. His Killing Edge is too precious to run out quickly.

Keep sword users on the forts, Rutger and Chad are excellent at this, although for the mercenary maybe Lance would be better. You can also fire from afar with Lugh and Wolt.

Don't hesitate to advance if there's an opening. You are playing to win after all. But if you get in trouble with the incoming waves you can fall back temporarily to the forts.

Be wary of incoming nomads and Thany, as well as your low Defense characters like Chad, because although they're weak, they're very accurate. There's only about three however, so they shouldn't slow you down too much.

The village gives you Gant's Lances, a very durable, if slightly weak lance. Give it to a cavalier like Lance.

The vendor doesn't sell anything new except some door keys which you shouldn't need because you have Chad.

When you're close to the boss, go man the forts so no reinforcements arrive, or just wait for them and take them out.

The boss can be finished off any number of ways, Killing Edge, rapier, Magic, pick one and do it.
